The Sound BlasterX H5 is designed with a tilt driver implementation that creates a mini acoustic chamber to minimize resonance within the earcups. The result is that you experience extra clarity across the frequencies and better sound separation where every detail crisp and clear.
Although the headset sounds great on its own, we have tapped into our rich history of creating class-leading audio algorithms to take the sound of the Sound BlasterX H5 beyond the realm of its physical limitations through audio enhancements optimized for your gameplay.
Available for Windows®, Sound BlasterX Acoustic Engine Lite1 offers preset audio profiles specially programmed according to the audio settings of popular games today. When activated, these profiles bring out the essence of the game you are playing. From the whizz of bullets flying past your ear in your favorite FPS game to the terrifying roar of a troll from an adventure game, these sounds come alive with our professionally tweaked enhancements!

Set in a real-world situation, Counter Strike: Global Offensive is a team-based action gameplay that requires players to deal with discharging of firearms, dodging gunfires and nonetheless, pinpoint accuracy of a gunshot. While you're making your calculated moves, you will pick up a range of details from an explosion of gunfire, hand-loading, to bomb planting and defusing, and other minute cues you can't see. Hence, our precision tuning combined with our in-depth understanding of the Source Engine gives you better hearing, better control of your environment. So you can hit your enemies with your best shot (possibly in the head).
There's something transcendental about sound. It not only takes us from destination A to destination B, but also acts as our eyes that hint at the possible perils that could kill you in an ambush. We aspire to fill up every nook and cranny of your gaming environment with the best possible audio cues, so you can slay your enemy's Ancient without worries. Let your ears pick up the essential cues, namely spells, ability charge-ups or even your fellow teammate's cry for help! With our custom audio tuning, you're well covered in your gameplay.

These (Sound BlasterX H5) are the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever owned. Even after an 8 hour gaming session while wearing glasses, they are still perfectly comfortable. I simply cannot fault them.

One thing I really like about the headset is the headband; it's more robust than it looks, springing back into place after we bend it up so that the headband is nearly flat. Creative did this by using steel underneath the padding instead of plastic. While doing this with other headsets often makes me cringe, the Sound BlasterX H5 happily takes the bending in stride.

Sound BlasterX H5
The Sound BlasterX H5 isn't the loudest headset out there but it's plenty loud enough in our opinion, especially given how well it attenuates external sounds, and it also doesn't distort a maximum volume like so many cheaper models. Music is handled very well with bass notes that are nice and warm but not overpowering.
