This download contains an improved version of the drivers found on the Creative ZEN and Jukebox installation CD. It provides Unicode support. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Notes:

• To check your player's firmware version number:
  1. Turn on your player.
  2. From the main menu, select System -> Information.
     For NOMAD Jukebox ZEN Xtra, select Settings -> About.
  3. The firmware version number is indicated under "Version".
• To install this download, do the following:
  1. Download the JB3MV2_PCWDRV_US_2_01_00.EXE file into your local hard disk.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.

This driver upgrade adds support for Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition. It also delivers improvements to these players: Creative Zen, Creative Zen Micro, Creative Zen Touch, Creative NOMAD® Jukebox Zen Xtra and Creative NOMAD Jukebox Zen NX.

Added Features or Enhancements:

• Provides full support for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.

Fixes:

• Replaces blank ID3 tags with "Unknown" when songs are downloaded with Windows Media Player.
• Improves Windows Media Player plugin's stability for Zen Micro players.

This update upgrades your player's firmware.

Fixes:

• Supports the display of Russian (Cyrillic) ID3 tag information for MP3 and WMA files in your player. NOMAD Jukebox 2/3/Zen Pack (version 1.01.12 or later) for Creative MediaSource is necessary for full and correct functionality.
• Extends your player's language support options to include Chinese Traditional and Korean languages

This update addresses a security vulnerability that Creative users face when using Gracenote© services like MusicID™ (formerly known as CDDB™). For more details, read the rest of this web release note. You must already have one of the following applications listed in Requirements below on your computer to perform this update successfully.

• Secures your computer against the vulnerability caused by using some Gracenote services with a Creative application.

If your Creative MediaSource version is lower than 3.20.57, download and install the latest version before installing this software package.

This software package includes the following updated applications:

• Creative MediaSource - Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.20
  The plugin enables you to organize, transfer and manage music tracks in your player and computer, using Creative MediaSource version 3.20.57 or later.
• Creative Sync Manager (version 5.10.07)
  Sync Manager synchronizes music tracks in your player and computer.

Fixes:

• Displays text properly when viewing the player's Genre, Artist or Album folder contents
• Ensures proper display order of tracks in a playlist

This download updates Creative Disc Maker (in Creative PlayCenter) or Creative CD Burner (in Creative MediaSource) to provide support for newer CD-RW drive models.

If Creative PlayCenter or Creative MediaSource already detects your CD-RW drive, you do not need to install this download.

• Creative PlayCenter version 3.02.52 or later, OR Creative MediaSource version 1.00.12 or later installed

• To check the version number of your Creative PlayCenter or Creative MediaSource, do the following:
1. Launch Creative PlayCenter or Creative MediaSource.
2. Click File -> About PlayCenter or About Creative MediaSource.
3. Check that your Creative PlayCenter is version 3.02.52 or later, OR that your Creative MediaSource is version 1.02.52 or later.
4. Click the OK button.
• To enable the Disc Maker or CD Burner feature, see the Creative PlayCenter or Creative MediaSource Help.
• To install the drive update, double-click the drive update file and follow the instructions on the screen.
• To launch the drive update, double-click the Creative CD Burner Drive Update icon on your desktop or click Start -> Programs -> Creative -> Creative CD Burner Drive Update.

Creative NOMAD Explorer enables you to conveniently manage your NOMAD player's music and data library with Microsoft® Windows® Explorer.

You can use Creative NOMAD Explorer to:

• drag and drop songs and data files between your computer and NOMAD player
• manage songs in your NOMAD player's music library
• manage data files in your NOMAD player's data library
• create and edit playlists on your NOMAD player
• edit track properties in your NOMAD player's music library

After installing Creative NOMAD Explorer, you can find the NOMAD Explorer icon in Windows Explorer, under My Computer.

• Creative NOMAD Jukebox 2, 3, Zen, Zen USB2.0, Zen NX, Zen Xtra or Zen Touch
